Title: King of Drakkar
I'm developing a type of goodie for prizes in the game.

DrakCoins will be an item that can only be obtained via sysop events.
In short, they will be used to purchase "goodies" from a special NPC in the game.

It will work out something like this:

5 DrakCoins will get you a special healing potion that has 10 uses.
25 DrakCoins will get you a special shield with special artwork on it.
100 DrakCoins will get you a dagger with a special ability.
etc.

Those are just examples and are not by any means exactly what the items will be.

I am currently working on the artwork for the coin (something I have to create as a vector image*) and once it is done then I will have it uploaded into the game.

*I need to create them as a vector image because I am also looking into having these made into a real world coin, as a Die Struck Bronze or NiCodiumDie Struck coin. These would be for fun only and would be for sale in the Drakkar Online Store.

will there be a case for them can hold multiple of them? if it gets into having 100's people will have locker accounts just to hold them and then transfering would be a pain so if you make a case that can hold maybe 100 or so that would be good :)

Luckyman, that is going to hopefully be part of the process. I certainly want them to be able to "stack".

A reward I'd like to see would be adding discs or effects to existing items for an appropriate coin amount.

For example, 50 coins to add an advanced disk to a piece of gear, or 25 coins to add a castable disc of sk 16 and below to a piece of gear (succor, infravision.)

I know that adding discs to items in the past has been a "touchy" subject. When I asked Brad about it (note this was several years back) he siad he did not want to cheapen or rob that respective class of it's disc.

While there are items in the game that do have discs on them (IV Helm, CritCure Stick, etc), I can see his point.

I know if I were a Ment or Healer and someone had all these fancy discs, but on items, I would feel, as a class, kindav cheapened.

I dunno. I'm on the fence about that one. I can see both sides.

Aside from the advanced disc aspect of it, what I'm talking about is essentially the same as imbuing bracers.

In this case, you are simply trading your coins in for the convenience of not having to make and carry around some imbued infravision or succor bracers, and instead cast directly from you gear (which would also need to be recharged accordingly, in theory.) Hence the sk 16 disc cap.

As for advanced disks, I was proposing ones such as Deadeye, Fingers of Flame, Catlike Reflexes, and so forth, be addable. Ie. no class has them.

since they are spells that no one gets i agree that this would be a good idea

I would love to see old rare items like a good amount of coins for a cowboy hat or a broom, items like that.

In that case Darge, I don't see an issue with doing something like that.

As for seeing rare old items like a broom or cowboy hat, those are considered now Relics. I have heard rumors about a broom as of recent in regards to it being a prize for something, but my stance on those two specific items are; the chance to obtain them are loooong since past.

However, with that said, there is certainly nothing out there that says we cannot have a 1 of a kind NEW type item.

Okay, here is the preliminary artowrk for the Drakkar Coins.

Kindav shows you a step by step of what I do to get it to the final rendition (sortav).

First I create a vector image and convert everything to curves.

Next, I fill the layers in to give it depth.

Finally I give everything color.

And that's the very basics of it!

Amazing work Flisk.

When do you think you'll be able to get it into the game?

Can I make a suggestion?

Well, I am before any of you can answer, so boo-ya.

Anywho. Luxun is a pally. A halberd user. He will never be able to hit Chipuda or the Snowbeast with his hally. Could it maybe be possible to add silver, glowing, or the pweapon tag to a weapon using drak coins? Maybe some other things, I don't know. Could it also be possible to increase the strength of a weapon (only usable once per weapon) or something to that effect?

Darge: yep, still being worked on.

ZhouYu: perhaps... the end result's use can really be limitless with this.
