Can anyone contact Seville concerning the Bored website?

Post by shadeth »

Geocities is closing in October, so the Bored website will be lost. That would be a shame since many people still use it to this day and it has A LOT of information on it. [Note: Archiving it into a ".mht" single file didn't work so Seville needs to be contacted.]

I also noticed that the Roar website is on geocities, but don't know how often it is being used. Letting the webmaster of that site know would be a good thing too.

If there is enough interest, I can archive the data from GeoCtities and host the BORED and ROAR sites. If you think this would be handy, speak up now otherwise Yahoo is going to hit the delete button on all the free sites in October. It will take me a few days to grab everything because of the download limits GeoCities imposes plus Seville has files all over a half dozen GeoCities accounts.

I uploaded another set of files. I think I've got the whole site now.

Lemme know if anything is missing

Stormwind,

It appears that the new Bored location has been down for a few days. Does this mean the Bored website is an orphan again?

Thanks,
sha'Deth

The forums server is down however I have no problems with accessing the mirror site of BORED that WOLF made.

I will contact Storm however.

Stormwind,

The Bored site has been down for a month and looks like it is gone for good. Is there any chance it can be made into a single MHT file? That way all that information will not be lost for good and still be used by players. You can contact me in mirc or drak lobby.

Thanks,
sha'Deth

Stormwind has been working on this but I don't have the particulars. Our own forums are down as well since the same server was used. I'm certain the information is not lost.

It's back up with a different link.

Go to http://www.wolfguild.com , select BORED Guild Site Image. Please test, go through what you can and see if it's all intact. Report here if something is off. Thanks Storm!
