We had a secondary DNS pointing to the old machine. login.drakkarzone.com and login1.drakkarzone.com should now point to 216.27.11.137
not 216.27.11.139

If you PING or NSLOOKUP and get .139, you may need to wait for your ISP to flush their DNS cache. Since windows caches locally, you may try rebooting your machine.

(This just NOW got fixed)

You can't PING the address (its blocked). Just make sure they are pointing to .137

Are you unable to connect? (with the lobby?)

Still cannot get in. Worked fine a few days ago. I went on a trip, came back and couldn't get into the lobby? Never changed anything..

Please help! Who is the "they" - (Just make sure they are pointing to .137)

Thanks!

Everything was fine til midafternoon. I logged out for a while and when I went to log in a half hour later I started getting 'host lookup failed'. been doing it ever since.

Was something changed today?

Thank goodness I'm not alone! I was beginning to doubt my trusty CPU! Yes, I too wondered if something had changed recently? Also, I am using the same version I downloaded in September. Afraid to lose anything in an upgrade.

Would love to get back on again...

This has happened to me a couple of times recently as well; thought it was just my isp acting fruity... And if I leave it and try again later, voila.. hmm, strange.

It has nothing to do with the drakkar version you are running, it was simply a DNS error (the part of the internet which tells you how to get somewhere). It should be fixed now.

Make sure you are running the latest version of the client, however, as it fixes many communications issues.

So.. let's say... hypothetically of course... you work a job where there is massive amounts of downtime and you could maybe download Drakkar onto your work comp relatively undetected. Let's also hypothetically say you can get other external programs to work with internet but when you try to start lobby you get the "host lookup failed" screen. You can change some things around, but not the registry. Hypothetically, how would you get the game to run with your existing internet connection?

You could try dropping to DOS and typing

nslookup login.drakkarzone.com

and making sure it comes back with
216.27.11.137

Then, you could make sure your firewall has open ports to 216.27.11.137
