best RPG of all time; suikoden 2.

This is an AWESOME Game. You start out as just a kid from a town, then the town gets over-runned by an army. you and your friend split up to get away and along the way you find that your best friend becomes your foe.

I liked this game for it's content, you could do so many things and battle so many things... A down side? Not that long. I spent probably 40 hours demolishing this game. What a time i had.

If ya ever get a chance, buy it.

Hmm.. Well, in no particular order:

Drakkar-Yeah, not totally sure how long I've been playing, but I first found the game 8 years ago and played a little, but quit due to lack of funds (I was 9 at the time, lol). Then found it again later on iEN when my mother was playing their casino-type games and I stumbled upon Drakkar again. I stopped but later returned a bit before Brad got it back from iEN.

Final Fantasy-I loved the entire series, it was awesome and I still play it pretty often.

WoW-Yeah, awesome game. The only game I've found as of yet that has been able to pull me from drak and hold my attn.

DAoC-Liked it alot too. But didn't hold my attn.

EQ 2-Its fun, but I still like WoW better.

Gosh, I have wasted so much money on entertainment.. haha

Online Games
1) Legends of Kesmai - This game is like my momma. Talk smack, and you get smacked.
2) Darkness Falls - One of the most memorable games I've played, bug-ridden as it may have been.
3) Ultima Online - Only ONE player-run server... every other shard I've played on SUCKED, and even the good shard turned to garbage after a while)
4) Kingdom of Drakkar - Mainly due to the similarities between it and LoK. It's a good game that has consumed a great deal of my time, but it doesn't have the same sense of adventure and fun as LoK did. Something about clicking things that can't even hurt me, thousands of times in a row, for a MINOR boost in strength, just doesn't feel right. There's no sense of adventure when you're training.
5) Mystic Lands of Chromus - It's only on here because I'm the one who programmed it... at the age of 12. And it actually had a decent player-base. The game itself sucked, IMO, but that wasn't my problem. I blame those who developed the content.

Offline Games
1) Chrono Trigger - It absorbed me.
2) NFL Madness: Orcish QB - Don't ask... It's on here because it's unique.
3) The majority of the Zeldas - If you want to call them RPGs...

Zelda, the Ocarina of Time is my all time favorite. Music, playability, graphics, storyline, pacing all came together in that game.

It is the only game where I felt like I WAS the character for the entire time I played it.

Watching someone else play it was like watching a movie.

My son was the first in the family to defeat the final boss and we were all huddled around the TV, totally absorbed in the action.

I know this is an old thred, but i have been with out internet for over a year, so just getting a chance to read this!! I also will have to admit that I have not played a whole host of games, and especialy on line games, so my list is more history than a faves list. The first RPG type game i ever saw was back in 1980 when i got out of the service. A friend of mine was playing on an old TRS-80, yes a tape deck only machine ( point in fact he was working on writeing a " DOS " program his FLOPPY drive, who'ld ever heard of a hard drive back then?). Can't remember the game's name, was some thing like Pyramid Quest or Mummy Quest. Obviously it was a text quest through the Egyptian Pyramids. My first RPG was Dungion& Dragons on the Mattel Intellivision. Will never the first time i came across that dragon. It made this realy weird sound, and the programers made the volume max out. It just so happened the tourch i had burned out just before the Dragon saw me, just never saw it, just heard it... scared the pooh outa me!! Then i became dragon pooh. The next one i played was an IBM version of a text game called Zyll. It was capable of multiplayer, but never had a chance at that. Drakk was my first experience with on line play of any type, that was in 1998 ( MPG-Net days). Don't think i could have picked a better game to start with.... or to continue with! Though just before giveing up the internet due to finacial reasons, i did get hooked in Neverwinter Nights. No not the "boxed" game but on a couple of the player mods. Thats the great thing of it, the ability to simulate P&P DND so closely... on a comupter even!! WOW.. what a long rambel.. sorry guys.

Gawd, ive played upwards of 1000+ games, whittling it down to 5 aint to easy :sarc

1. (the easy one) FF7, the first 'real' RPG i ever played and fell in love with it.
2. Command and conquer series (all but RA1 and TS) countless hours of replayablity with friends.
3. Resident evil (mainly the original) control system was on par with the worst ever, but gameplay is everything.
4. super mario bros (NES version) first game i ever played and got me hooked on 'gaming', the rest of the series hasnt been to bad either.
5. And ofc Gran Turismo (all of em), best driving game(s) ever full stop.

Well not a bad list really, got an RPG, an adventure, a horror, an RTS and racing :)

heh heh...another revival of an old thread....but...well...here are mine...

Kingdom of Drakkar, and (I haven't seen anyone mention this...) Dungeon Siege (1 is ok...but I absolutely love 2)
Tried Diablo 1...could never get past that meat cleaver demon on the 2nd or 3rd floor so I just gave up (was years ago...)
Tried WoW (the non-mmorpg version) and lost interest rather quickly.
oh yeah...and for console games...I can't forget Super Mario Bros. 2....I must have started playing that when I was 7 on the old NES system... :P And I also like Metroid: Zero Mission (the newer version of the old one) I play it on my little brother's Nintendo DS occasionally....

But by far, my favorite game has to be KoD....I love the community, and the complexity of the game. Kudos to Brad and to the rest of the game developers! 8)
