I was very disappointed that noone was able to answer this in lobby chat the other day. The first person to respond here with correct answer (not responsible for posting abnormalities) wins nork strength pot.
If a leather ring that originally dropped in Nork appraises at a shop keeper for 120 gold coins, what does it do? There is only one correct answer.
Hint: 120 gold coins is not the only appraised price for these rings, BUT if it is 120 it must be one.
Anyone disputing my assertion that there is only one correct answer is welcome to prove me wrong.

encrusting any leather ring with a +9 non proning chipper staff will do that.

I've found little correlation between appraised value and what it does--except with illusion rings which devalue the more you use them. Since you say 'it can only be' one thing I'd have to go with illusion ring.

Illusion ring is correct ... the reason being that ALL non 1 or 5 leather rings drop between a certain appraisal range mid 200's to mid 400's (a relatively new exception is the smasher drop)... but the appraised price of an illusion drops as it gets used .... so a ring appraising for 120 is a 'used' illusion ringOriginally posted by Gizmak666
