Any of the old-timers still around?

Post by spidermanEDGE »

Hi, this is Spiderman_EDGE. I played for a 6 year stint from 95-2001. I was a barbarian and was on a LOT. I quit the game because of time commitments other than putting in 12 hours a day on drak. Just wondering if any of the same guys are around. I believe my guild broke up, and I'm not sure what's what, but it'd be nice to check up on some people I spent many hours with.

Hey spidey. Long time no see dude.

Yeah some of us old EDGEers are still around. You plan on coming back to play or just checking up? Either way, if you are on IRC, my nick is usually 'aca', gimme a msg and we'll catch up a bit.
Communication End.

Thank you for replying to my message. It is nice to know you are still around. Drop me a line at bp43@cornell.edu and let me know what's up (still at college, took 2.5 years off).

Yeah, my account should still exist. I gave it to extreme (the original head of EDGE) who probably kept it. I can never return to drak. It was way too addictive, but it did get me through some very hard times. I owe it my life. Like I said, I spent COUNTLESS hours online with you guys, so this is a relationship I can't just drop and never check up on. Yeti, my decision to leave was pretty abrupt. I needed to quit cold turkey at the time. I am sorry if you felt I was ditching you all. So, how's the game? How is everyone holding out? Remember, as it's been said... People leave the game plenty of times, but everyone eventually comes back. I may not be playing, but I'd like to check up on my buds.

wow, so there are things that no one has done? You mean the game isn't all begging for gear and farming lori? :p Can barbs still solo deathsasquash? Things in real life are pretty good. I was always disapointed that I couldn't stop time while I played drak. Otherwise, you're right, I'd be back super fast.

The new level requirements didnt stop the gear begging... But at least it gave us reasons to say a firm "NO - you cannot wear it" ;)

SoB can still be soloed by barbs. But there are so many NL sized crits that pop nork lairs easily in a matter of seconds, if not minutes, anyway... :sarc
