Did you know?
You can shoot with any weapon, although it will only hit at its normal distance. (Shoot <name> )
You can attack with
Attack <name>
Shoot <name>
Fight <name>
Stab <name>
Never damaged tested to see if different weapons work better with different attacks macro. (Kick <name> works too, but is always MA)
That psicutters block a percentage of damage were the number of cutters you’re wearing is the numerator and the number you’re wearing plus one is the denominator.
IE:
1 cutter 1/2
2 cutters 2/3
3 cutters 3/4
Psicutter is the last part of the damage equation. (On psi attacks of course)
If you go to the top level of the school in Nork and blow the walls down there is a cliff wall to the SE. That is the NW wall of Y+1.
You can follow (move to their hex) another player with chase <name>.

Did you know that when you parry, the full defensive boost lasts for 3 rounds as long as you do not use another attack type foci or healingtouch. So parry charge, charge, charge, parry works well. Using multistrike works well also, as it incurs an very small defensive penalty. Also, when you use parry in conjunction with an attack foci, the defensive penalty from the foci is factored in with parrys defensive boost to obtain the actual defense boost.

Re: Did you know . . .
Did you know that there are two climbable hexes south of the steel flower both east and west of the pond, that no one (including maxed sized characters) have been able to access? Not even tigger (who didn't know it even existed ) - but I guess it requires more than a hall pass
I feel it's something that was left in-game for development purposes then destroyed and not fixed, but Mars wouldn't verify whether it was accessible by players or not. Check it, maybe you can figure it out.

The below is mostly for the newbits, but who knows what others might find useful ...
That there is a hidden climb up above the BNR trader. If memory serves its in the water puddle. You'll be droped off back into town when you try to walk through the area.
The gambler used to give exp weather you won or lost.
+5 and higher enchants make things glow
You can tell if an area is twigable by dbl clicking your twig. If it says the glow is 'subdued' then you usually cannot.
The easiest way to identify a leather ring is by dbl clicking and either checking for the condition of the repair or its glow. However not all 'special' leather rings glow and of course they can be the same condition if freshly dropped or recently damaged.
the command . repeats your last action.
In Ratburrow there is a quest for mountain dewellers to get a low level hammer. (if memory serves right)
The RB portal in the cave wall is activated by different gems and teleports you to corresponding locations.
Betty quest drops will pots on occasion. RDs, golems and giants are known to drop majors.
SOB / DT cave SNRs / BNRs are sackable. So is reggies cloak.
Stilletto is a dagger, but is not sackable.
Boots do not effect your #kick damage
The 3.5 ghosts glowing door pearl used to be a valid item for the muzi quest.
The ogre in NW 3.5 carrys a push club that doesnt push.
The blunderbuss (bow) and pumpkin basket (gem) event items disappear if you drop them. And most event items which need traded or eaten do not work after an event is closed.
The N1 goblin lair door can't be picked, but many of the N3 doors can.
When walking into different mausoleum's alters using the keyboard it will probe your mind.
Some items which can be mugged cannot be stolen.
I know there are some other good ones that havnt been mentioned, but I am just totally brain fried at the moment... maybe I'll come back and add more later.

there IS resp gear in mjorin
Drinking the MJ luck pot sends you to the slam re-entry point in any scenario (tree for cob, west of last chance in nork, etc..)
If you twig to guildhall after your subscription has expired you'r ported to a 3 x 1 room with a portal. (drinking a luckpot in Guild Hall sends you here)
There is an area thats viewable from ALT2 top level in the prisons that you cant see in alt 1. (NW corner)
Uther wears moonboots, so does Kaxx
The doorway to nork portals is a climb up hex
If you've pi$$ed off Rift Titan/Albron they can throw/pummel you no matter if your on screen or not
They used to throw you to a Fake Aleria in the early stages of NL (which became un-mtable when GDH came out)
Doing the primal Ignot quest bypasses the requirement to trade in 200 akronium coins to Emergon.
You can actually just ask Ajamtax for his strength Ignot and he will give you it.
Tradeing in Bandit Hearts found on surface NL gives you 20 faction points towards Nameless.

...that a hidden or inviso player cannot hear ingame conversation unless it's shouted?
The exception is hidden thief with at least sk31 Thievery in your party as that gives the ability to be seen by party. Inviso nullfies even that.
I guess good to prevent ninja eavesdropping but for those wanting to warn off a suspected inviso/hidden player hunting too close, you gotta @Shout!

Did you know...
It used to be standard proceedure to outfit new players with a large yeti, rak robe, kitty, RD gaunts and ammy?
Steel Flower used to be the gathering place for players?
Skilling used to be done on certain lair crits, and you used to be able to click the ads for extra skill gain?
The official name of the island to the East of Nork is Tehruh?
There originally was no level cap (though trying to past the level cap that was later introduced would have been quite impossible)?
Edit: Denabas love baskie shields?

Tehruh is, as I understand it, actually the name of the planet Drakkar is on.

Re: Did you know . . .
Actually, yes. My bad. Players refer to the island to the East as Tehruh because of a scroll that has been... misinterpreted.Darge wrote:Tehruh is, as I understand it, actually the name of the planet Drakkar is on.

Re: Did you know . . .
No.. it was incorrectly called Tehruh because that dungeon was called Tehruh prisons.. and people just shortened it to tehruh.
Re: Did you know . . .
.. You can still technically play the game in ASCII mode? ( Though you have to type fast because the inactivity kickout is 3 rounds..)
