Name Change

Demona is my consideration for a new name if i'm allowed to rename my healer. it would be less offensive to some people, and i sure don't wanna rr the crit:D would like to know if i'm allowed to. also it wouldn't have the title 'lady' so it does look like i kacked the QS with a bugged lack of caps. i think it would be a more suiting name also since my original name was Demonaic and i had started the character literaly as a trash character. it was only after i had got very peeved at my paladin i grew it to what it has come to be. had it fem cuz i like my psi users fem and the rest male. just a gaming preference realy, although fates seem to intervene on occasion;)

its just the fact that u are ladytrash, thats your healer and i believe thats how it should stay, i just thought of it as me changing my name david in real life to something i like better, just wouldn't be something i would do is all, if that made any sence at all

Because you should definately keep one name, its just so much easier to work with and people wont ask questions like whos that and stuff. Plus you seem to like to play a lot of woman crits..thats kinda weird man..

Ummmm, might i suggest that you not let your personal fellings about Demonaic let you make public comments like this?? Not trying to flame ya or anything personal, but you just might be surprised at how many players have cross-gender crits. This is a fantsy game after all. I remeber when i first started playing Drak, back in the MPG-Net days ( thats pre- IEN BTW),and i was still on a free account, i had two main hunting buddies, one a male ment , the other a female barb. The barb went pay well before the ment and I. Well a couple weeks after going pay, me ment friend, Glendor, intoduces me to a pally, a male. After an hour or so of hacking up n-4, we comr up to level up and cash in coin. while waiting on the Pally to get back, me buddy Gleny tells me that that the same player that had the barb back in free. Kinda took me back, cause even in the old pub tables "he" allways talked like a "she". This player still plays, but mostly his Pally, but once in a while will play another crit of his which is a female, though not the same barb as before. And since then, i have run across many a player that plays both male and female crits. So i hope you dont define "weird" as unusual <G>, because in this case it is rather common. And if you wanna call all who do this as weird, I would advise ya to be real cautious about playing with some of the larger crits in the game, cause they are "weird", and ya never know what a weird crit will do to ya <G>.

LMAO one day for fun i rolled up a cross gender crit, after 5 minutes in n-1 as a female crit some other player started talking me up :D

Also you get helped more if youre crit is female, if you dont believe me create one and see for youreself.....

i like fem and male crits equaly, all my fightin crits are male, mind you i have 6 crits i built all to cob, 4 were male just cuz there's only 2 psi classes (healer/ment) <well f/m too but i dun like those to play wit> you guys just usualy see my healer all the time cuz it's my biggest useful crit atm but all those people who got slith way before they should have know my male frodo

Nope just kidding, but seriously I think demona would offend more people than ladytrash would. I think this name change effort is causing more probs than your crit name has or ever would if you'd just let it go.

Yes you will get helped more if your a female crit I had a friend who did it and he got all kinds of free pots and gold and gear and stuff, but personally I wouldn't stoop to this level. As for "roleplaying" a female crit.. um sure to each his own I guess.

Just me but I think ladytrash is find, its kind of funny and before your story (with the help of my genius) I figured it was a trashcrit that you just built up. So I see no probs to just keep your name, but if somehow you do get a sysop to change your name without a reroll, everyone who wants a name change should get one, and oh the chaos that would cause. :/

i don't even pretend to be female, it's just the way i like my psi crits. everyone who knows me for more then 5 minutes knows i'm a guy. i've never pretended to be a girl/woman. and if anyone calls me a lady without sayin trash i correct 'em <G> it was just an idea. guess noone seems to like it:hoho

Yes i am a male character, but to me, psi classes seem more female'ish than male'ish... Just a personal preference.. i in no way act like a female while playing this crits, and don't intend to...

About the name change, i will say, if the powers in charge did allow you to change your name, everyone in drak would want it changed also.. especially since you posted about it here, so EVERYONE now knows that you want it done...

Please no more load on the poor KQers. They are already multitaskers. Make it something more challanging and requiring effort/time. Perhaps a small collection of Alerian rares (and make darn sure that items on the list can't be farmed by abusing minor alerian nobility).

I think a name change feature would be an attractive perk to some but might best be left to either real money or DrakBucks. Further a public list should be available to prevent griefification (new word:p sometimes call abuse)

LT is a classy name and has a ring. I can't understand why anyone would want to change it.

I think name changes should cost around $15, and only for characters in good standing. I also think they should let you move characters to different accounts. At a fee of course. $30.ish sounds good. But the move should be to a pay account. New guild creations should be free but should have to have a minimum number of pay accounts, and taggers should be pay accounts. It would be another perk to being a paying customer.

Then again maybe it would be to much work for an already overworked Brad. :p
