If your 50+ in nameless, primal or near primal, please help me out a bit, im having brain lock on hatcheries.
Question:
1) Progression through quests based on simple drops from normal hunting
2) Progression through regal accomplishments, such as killing lair crits
3) No real progression, just hunting areas and perhaps a keyed dungeon or two.
4) Tired of hunting areas, give me more quests.
I'm going to delete any off topic comments. Please keep them focused.
PS If your not sure what "progression" means, its the standard RPG method of rewarding players for "moving through" content by giving them access to new areas of the content when they have completed goals.

I think a general consensus among people is that random drops for progression = pain, the random nl drops made that apparent. My vote goes for lair based progression, such as albron was required for titan breath's or how CH and CC required the items of many lair *cough* nameless club *cough*, but in keeping with the theme of nameless, optional quests requiring uncommon to rare drops would be good to have as well.
As an afterthought, high end people would blow through lair based progression, so possibly implement things that make the lairs simply challenging to reach, or even find for that matter. Lair entry quests such as uther, lazloth, lanapi, researcher (in a sense), and basilisk are all good reference points.

The whole world of Drak abounds with quests, that's why I'm here.
Give me more I tell you!
Hunting/grunting we have already, progress and rewards we have already.
Heck there doesn't even need to be any tangible rewards, the fun of the quest is enough for me, I will not speak for the gear getters they play their own game.

I agree with Darge. Progression through Mormar was just painful and ridiculous. Lair creatures and quests are my favorite part of the game, would be great for progression, as long as no painfully rare drops are involved, yet still make it difficult to progress, anything easy isn't really fun.

I'm done with the endless hunting, I just want a fun little area with a few creative lair crits.

I'd kinda like it if areas were designed such that people hunted there not because they had found x and y and gave to z which magically let them go down a set of stairs; rather, I'd like to see it based on whether your group was able to do well there. I liked the idea of this area being completely "non-linear", as you had initially talked about it being.
EDIT:
"Quests" are great. Add more please.. for some reward, that is. Not for progression. (do x and y to get z, not find x and y to get z).

Repeatable quests that give experience and/or actual/paid skill as a reward. This is the basis of the wildly popular WoW and I really like the feature. I would argue they made that game a little too easy, but you can tune it to be more Drak-like.
I'd like to see these quests go in from level 1 also.
Example: Rid the Nork Basement of 50 vile goblins. Get, say, some percentage of their normal skill or xp on handing in the quest.
You can do the same for finding certain drops in areas.
