Bankers Notes

Post by Spiderbyte »

Bah enough with the 2 meg bank limit (2 hands 500K 1meg in the pouch).

IT HAS TO GO!

Just make it so you can get a bankers note that allows you to transfer the note from Cob to Nork for upto the max of 25megs. It is really lame to have to cart 25 megs of coin over 2 megs at a time.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Perhaps you can.

Sorry to be mysterious. The bankers made me swear to secrecy. Although I do believe the "secret" is posted somewhere on the forum.

short of this secret way, you can just keep all your money stored up in EP pots, hehe. Much easier to transfer that way :P

Even easier than the secret way usually if you are trying to make a specific amount -_-

people keep trotting this out as a solution ... but it is still a pain to convert ep pots or seldari eyes into cash ... you can sell max of 3 before going to bank ...

set 12 twigs at cob tree bank .. .make some macros ... suck it up ... it isn't the millionaires who deserve our tears :P

hehe amb, it was a solution to me. I just kept a locker or 2 full of ep pots at all times. That way i could use them as an easy form of currency for purchases larger than 1m and smaller than 25.

I never really had a reason to transport actual coinage from cob - nork other than buying something from another person, or selling an enchant to someone.

Or when you come to sell them sell them in the Funhouse where there is a bank right next to the seller and you dont even have to move hex. Yes you still need to use the bank but wiht some handy macros things can go alot quicker.

Buy ep pots from another helpful player with your cob money :P

Short of maxing at level 13 on an alt, i cant think of a reason to take money to nork in quantities over 2m.

Or just shell out the extra 5 bucks for gold, or make level 25 :/

Wow ... I like that idea ... a seperate global bank account ... not sure he'l go for cob/nork accessable ... or if he did, it would be for UGH/club customers only and they don't need :P

The way I see it, banking is a huge and pointless time sink. I can't say there is one part of it that I like. If this was a PvP game then it would make a lot of sense and provide hours of PvP (Like heading to plant a ToL in Shadowbane).

However this is not a PvP game and thus in my opinion…

“Phase this tedious task out.”

Yes there is ways to do it now but not very practical overall for everyone.

Some of the best games I have played all focused on player enjoyment. The dev teams worked on areas that their player base wanted them to. Some of the changes were small while others were considerably more complex (Everquest and DaoC did a great job of this).

I would be interested in seeing how many people here would vote for a better way to bank and even sell items.

I cast my vote for a better (less mundane and time consuming) way.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.

a global bank would be great. a bank where your whole account shares one is a really great idea, i would love to see that addition.

Heres what i think your talking about - Keep the normal banking the way it is where only that particular crit can access. Thats fine, but transfering coin is a real drag, and it gets old after about 15meg. so thats where the global bank comes in. Just deposit all the gold you want to take out on differant crits in there. have the limit somewhere around.. 50meg or something?

Just trying to take control of what little voice i have by aggreeing with what i think would be a good addition to Drak.

I fail to see the reason for separate banks and bank deposit limits. It's just tedious to transfer coin and nothing more.

My intention with a global banker, was that each area, nork, aleria, cob, etc. would have a separate banker where any slot could access all the accts banks accts at one time. totally eliminate the need to move coin, just a new banker in each scenario that has access to all slots acct, by each slot
