A idea was brought up by "Lily" about pking, "Why not bring in a pk arena"

To me thats a great idea .. we have couple places in nork that it can go in via Dooperganger, unused terrain (no mobs but trees, grass, snow etc).

Now to put muh thoughts in it ... it should have a lil building by it with bank, pot trader & possible VT/Frore locker .... lvl req should be 15+ ...

but this will open alot in the game ... at least some part of pvp, possible sysop tortaments holded, and player tortaments .. and even betting of mobs fights (like chicken fights but with mobs)

I don't understand the push for pvp. Drakkar is poorly designed for it and anyone with modest brain capacity should see this if they think about it for more than 5 seconds. I usually feel obligated to explain a particular argument, but this is so close to trying to argue that the sky is blue; if you can't see it, then it's going to be a waste of time trying to prove it.

Well, if there is an arena, there should be level groups that go there. IE 8-12, 13-17, 18-24, etc.

The classes arn't balanced for pvp, not even close. There are many games that you can play, to get your pvp fix.

Some less socialized (or maybe I mean "civilized") people cannot cope without a pecking order ... and after the trash talking is done, they want to see if the guy who said "Don't make me go all primal on your a$$" has what it takes ...

these are children who want it ... Brad has intimated that it would happen with enough support (presumably from paying customers)

Heck, why not just install a mirror on the wall in the casino with the caption underneath "You da MAN!"

if that were the case, we would have to worry about the other races (not to mention put the mirror at different height) "You da DWARF!" just doesn't resonate for me

If the game were balanced for PVP, I wouldn't see a problem with it.

If you don't like it, don't participate. It's that simple. If these people want to fight to decide who is better, let 'em.

The upside to something like this is it would add to the playerbase, and I'm sure Brad could add incentives to make PVPers want to pay to play. And let's face it, the majority of gamers, able to pay or not, are the type that enjoy PVP. That would increase support for Drakkar and better the game for everybody. If the PVPers bring a bad attitude and/or violate the rules, I doubt the sysops would have much of a problem with booting them out.

I'm going to have to agree, though, that drakkar isn't really that fit for PVP. Anything but 1-hit kills would result in potion-drinking contests. There's not enough room for strategy.

pvp works fine untill higher lvls...
with lance, maxstrike, earthcrush, nl discs.
but till like lvl 20 people can pvp, just people after want to pvp =-(
