Subject pretty much says it all. Put crystals in the game you can store additional Teleport locations on.

would be pretty nice. But i think we should also have a potion that makes another hand grow for a healer so it can hold an uzi staff and shield in nork :sarc

i would like 2 heads on my crit so i can wear 2 helmets at the same time please. extra fingers for more rings would be nice as well. throw in a few limbs too so i can slap the snot out of ...

I don't think the subject required that much derision ...

but I think the more common USE of the crystals would be to subvert the intention that certain events wipe tp locations from ments/FMs memory.

I would be surprised to find that more tp locations would be more than a minor convenience.

I think the 2 rings thing is an offshoot from D&D (maybe right maybe wrong :D) where the 'magic' from the rings will ovelap and interfer if you have more then 2 on.

eh, this whole game is an offshoot of D&D, if you havent noticed, for those who have played the game look at rak's, sliths, chipper staff, and the portable hole that used to be in the game. Direct rips of rakshashas, beholders, staff of power (or staff of the magi), and bag of holding. Its a wonder brad didnt get sued

brad based game off an old AD&D campaign he ran i think (if i remember conversations well :D)

most things end up looking like something to do with D&D anyways :D

I discovered Drakkar from a Link off the TSR websight, before WOTC bought D&D. This game was 'sanctioned'. Definitly D&D based, the reason I play and No law suits here.

But how did this thread get so far off my Memory Crystals? (also from D&D Psionic Psicrystals)

my bad derailed it :D

Anyhoo memory crystals not needed, you have 20tp locations just have to pick and choose which ones u want. Spread um out within your guild if you need more perhapse.

Make good choices. Split up odd, rarely used ones amongst guild mates and keep a couple twigs handy for those yourself.

only tp locations that are really needed are a home tp <nork or tree or whatever, depending on your scenario> and any tps to places that are impossible, or difficult to run to. NL is the only place where i actually would make constructive use of 5 or so more TP locations, simply because its sort of like having to put your alerian TPs in with your nork TPs <for DL/NL tps>

But seriously, the only time i would use a memory crystal is for something like the christmas event, to set locations at the reindeers... and thats just not necessary.

If you really lose your tps that often, you are doing something wrong

and if you honestly cant find enough rooms for the tps you want, PM me and i will suggest some better ways to organize your tps -_-

before i went to mj with my fm, i had 20 tps in nork and was having trouble setting all the ones i wanted, and thought i needed more

after i came back from mj, i think i now have maybe 8 tps set, and cant find a use for the rest of them -_-

*SIGH*...

I didn't realize I had to "sell" my idea to the masses. What ARE the requirements for the implimentation of an idea anyway?

Still, here are a couple of 'reasons' I have for the crystals. As an FM (probably true for a ment as well), I use a lot of HASTE. If I could memorize the locations of Dion (without losing my regular ones), it would make the regain of STR and DEX a lot more fun.

Trips to Mjorin wouldn't be so tramatic.

Ments would get a small edge on Christmas events.

Taking the GH portal to Aleria, without a twig, wouldn't hurt so much.

Although I don't use more than 20 locations regularly, there are some requests for MT that would be nice to offer.

I could go on.. but whats the point.
