When I set 1 trap - and have the protection of a Refuge Ice Pot on my thief - then he survives the blast. However, when I set 3 traps I was dead meat. Even though the traps were all set in different locations (1 in N door, 1 4 hexes away in E door, 1 4+ hexes away from N/E traps in a S door). I guess they stack because of some overlapping blast that is more powerful than each trap separately. Even though I was near only the N trap. I wonder if this is part of the design. If so, then drinking multiple pots should also stack, right?
I did not test setting 2 traps in different locations and seeing how the pot protection worked. I have died too much tonight and am worn out. I will follow up with other tests and report them if they are not consistent with what I reported above.
Thanks

Re: Fire Pots vs Traps
1 fire bottle vs 1 fire trap = death for me (no noticeable protection)
If the intent is for the fire bottles to offer protection from trap fire it needs to be increased dramatically.

Re: Ice Pots vs Traps
Traps are designed to be a life threatening risk, only mitigated by insane efforts.
So, there won't be a "casual" avoidance .. (since there are rewards)
