You don't understand..
I think its pretty clear Brad is a conspiracy and these changes were put in by Mars when he took over as lead developer.

they're not linked. the imp reflexes caused me to be hit significantly more with each point. melee avoidance seems to be working correctly and i was able to dump in enough points to negate what imp. reflexes did. I thought it was just combat quirks, but I just dumped a point in Melee Avoidance, and seem to be getting hit more. Ammies aren't always x/x. Merk combat ammy is +3. Once, landlubber explained to me +x is very different from x/x. I can no longer remember anything that day except the intense headache that followed his explanation. This is pretty much what I was trying to figure out. Someone explained it in detail...

I don't mean to be a debbie downer, but the whole point of drakkar is that there isn't pvp. I don't know how to explain it other than by saying that in a very open-minded thought; the only way it would be possible is for sysops to not enforce player killing, which doesn't require any implementation....
