Re: Energylance, is it worth it?
Energylance was cool once! Not very practical though. The damage vs espear was not worth the ep difference, and since f/m's regen eps so slowly, it's not very practical. If Cobrahn was still the endgame, I'd say go for it, just for fun. But it isn't. You wouldn't really use it once you go primal. Ve...

Re: Drakkar is going to die... Suggestions to bring Drak Bac
2. Marketing Tough topic! Keeping in mind the # of active players here is probably never going to approach 2,000 again! A wiki has been mentioned before, and it's a good idea. However, it needs to be developed! Since there are sites out there that have done most of the work already (ROAR, BORED), pe...

Re: Drakkar is going to die... Suggestions to bring Drak Bac
Not to argue any valid points but its sorta like comparing apples to oranges, You mention other mmorpg out there with better graphics, etc are $10/month... The playerbase is also at a point the likes of I think drakkar has not even seen in its heyday. You're not arguing; you're agreeing with me! :)...

Re: Drakkar is going to die... Suggestions to bring Drak Bac
1. Financial This needs to be approached from 2 points of view: the player's and Brad's. In some places those two views will intersect, and I'd suggest that the more they intersect, the better! From the player's perspective: $10/month. Same as most of the MMORPG's out there! So let's see, for $10, I...

Re: Drakkar is going to die... Suggestions to bring Drak Bac
I think the diversity of opinions posted here highlights the need to approach this from a multifaceted angle, if the goal is to grow the game. I'd suggest there are 3 primary angles that need to be addressed, with the 3rd further dividied: 1. Financial 2. Marketing 3. Game play a. low to mid-levels ...

Re: Dion and Willpower
There used to be a significant difference between 23 and 25 in a stat. Probably still is, particularly at lower levels.
I'd recommend doing as you say and taking it to 25. Atones are easy to come by.

Will items drop from ....specters?...in Cedarville (below Juntes) Or is that cons? Hmmmm.
Int drops are from skel...turnip looking things...in sewers
Wis are from sapphire chips in pillars..don't recall which mobs drop them
Any ninja? Believe so

Re: Allied Aversion
Kilgore, I disagree on the proposed fireball/breath solution. Couple reasons: Both are, for all intents and purposes, useless in Mormar or anywhere more advanced. I see the heart of the matter being different: ments have 2 nice tiers that they really don't use because the odds of killing their party...

Re: Allied Aversion
There are ways of adjusting to the 90% effectiveness of allied aversion. I find that if you dance and actively try to hit creatures outside a 3x3 (Tempuric storms) area then for the most part you can avoid killing self and party members too often. Also it helps if party members carry some kind of c...

Re: Allied Aversion
The same applies for ment tiers, Bartosh. There is a chance with both TSS and TFS that the party will indeed be damaged.
The same is not true for MA's who use sweep...they avoid their allies 100%.
Not sure if it's intentional or not, but that's the way it's been since quirks were put in game.

Re: Gear questions
Hi Roganemor! Yes, armors do have inherent differences. Think about a set of leather vs a set of plate. Neither has any combat adds, but they clearly have different AC's. So vamps and RD gaunts aren't the same, even if both are +5. The convention for detailing bonuses built into gear are not entirel...

Re: Skill 40 Abilities
Same problem here on f/m. Agree on publishing the skill 40 bonuses, assuming they are in place. Brad, I know you answered me once on this, but I'd point out that many of the skill 31 to 39 bonuses would not likely have been figured out if not published. I mean, which f/m was going to say "hmmm,...

Re: SDC 2 Feedback
Brad, I'd also like to suggest expanding the size of the first gnome area. If there are two parties in there, both parties have a decent amount of down time. I don't think regen is the answer; that just makes it harder to hold an area. More mobs in the same footprint creates a different problem; it ...

Re: SDC 2 Feedback
Could you please look at the drop rate for elder gnome heads Brad? I haven't spoken to anyone who has found one yet, and i'd guess between us we've killed 500 of the buggers. Considering there aren't that many elder gnomes to begin with, I'd suggest that if the item is itemized and dropping, either ...

Re: SDC 2 Feedback
The regen is still messed up, if you are killing in the first bit of cave, the zoo begins to accumilate at the climb up cave area. It would be good if these two areas had independant zoo generation. Also with the amount of nuggets required and the limited drop rate and spawn of elders, i would like...

Re: SDC 2 Feedback
New corpse decay rate is good for npcs, but doesn't work so well for PC's!
Wrenched after just a few rounds, before anyone could pick up my corpse to cc me. So if there's a way to adjust PC corpse decay, that'd help!
Thanks!

Armon claims he wants a large nugget. Problem is, he doesn't seem to want one when offered. He says put it in either hand...have tried both.....no cigar.

Re: NL Cost vs use. lvl 50? rethink that maybe
All I have to say for solo'ing in mormar, is discover m16. I got my barb to 75 just by killing one crit at a time. Use imagination. Why stand in a zoo of mobs and run for IH every zoo? Kill one at a time and not use IH for a longer period of time. You think people did it any different on km5 back i...
