"Subtractive" Disciplines
I haven't been able to progress very far in Nameless yet, so don't know if the "Primal" disciplines are of this type, but I was recently thinking about ways to make new lairs and disciplines. Here is one of the ideas that came about... "Subtractive" psionics: Disciplines that [co...

I was thinking that gloves for a thief might be fun, rather than guantlets. Here are some gloved suggestions... Surgical Gloves - Increases steal and mug only. Can have have agility on them. I don't think that people who loot my areas are doing so to cause grief, or to be impolite. This has been proven out time and time again when we talked. If I leave loot on the ground and I move offscreen I don't expect for them to find me, when they enter a large area. The #1 "hunting" rul...

Maybe a side-point is that: INT/WIS beyond 20 should have effects? Maybe lessens stress of disciplines? Haste junkies would love that. As would the enchanters of items, power word users, and probably any stress relations for new NL discs. Or, maybe more eps regen? Like for every +1 (beyond INT/WIS 2...

So Brad would not need to change the name at all.

I don't know if "Bow Accessories" fits within the vision of the developer, but I thought it might be of value. Some ideas... Quivers (must be on your BELT): Quiver of Arrows (uses up most of the belt slots): Placing arrow(s) also on your belt, makes them automatically fire and then return ...

Raiko, It is very simple to prove, the integer vs float difference. Just use a large enough loop, and prove it for yourself. Concerning OpenGL: I wasn't talking about client side programming, but server side programming, where the game resides. And if you don't mind, I would like to save that discus...

Raiko, You had another implied issue/question in your post, that I wanted to address separately. As we all know, experience isn't the only "value" that needs to be large. Each skill and each train ahead value needs to be large as well. Skill values might not grow as fast as experience, but...

Raiko, You don't use Float types for "main" calculations, primarily because they are glacial (in terms of speed) for calculation. If you check the CPU cycles for a float calculation vs an integer, you will see what I mean. Check out any assembly book, they will have the cycles so you can c...
