Re: Encruster Upgrade

I would imagine by encrusting it, the itemID changes or something. In which case it would make sense to only change the description or not make the description a part of a requirement for being the item that it is. But with that being said..

I do concur, thats just annoying.

Encruster Upgrade

Obviously from the Fun House its possible to add text and not just gems to objects. Why not add an encruster that can add up to 20 characters of text to an item? Would be more useful for trying to ID items or figuring out who they belong to.. Or an encruster which puts either your DZ or character na...

Re: Hiding with weapons

Long story short I accidentially gained a skill level while power leveling up to 12 to wear BNR so this data may or may not be off by a full skill level. Ugh, so demoralizing after the amount of work I have put into it. In any case I will be RRing and leveling before I begin skilling or even dedicat...

Re: DZ Lobby addition for..

As a perk for gold members or between any crits with UGH. I think it would be cool if you could launch a mini program to see in all your lockers and quickly be able to swap things around provided they are in the same scenario. Ex: Slot 2 thief locker to slot 1 nork locker or cob bank to nork bank..e...

Hiding with weapons

This is essentially just a sample of the test data I started running. The rest I will put in separate notepad files based on skill and level to improve readability. Also just so I dont flood out this topic as much as I have previous ones. I already have trash crits levels 1 to 10 setup (thanks Anigm...

DZ Lobby addition for..

Long story short Ive noticed as I talk to 3-4 people in the same day that I dont talk to regularly that I tend to go back the next day like wait. I know it was one of you that I was supposed to give a pot to and someone I loaned a ring to. Can't remember for the life of me, and no wonder when the sc...

Re: Selective Transmute

Too easy, just form transmute <value> and it will only pop things below that value. Then all players have to do is appraise a couple of items (like moon boots) before going in to know what to set the level to. I wouldnt think it overly hard to create that kind of comparison... though I do foresee it...

Re: A Thieves Hiding Guide

At a glance Dagger, SS, Crossbow, Shortbow and bare handed all seem to have no hide penalty so assume this to be true unless otherwise stated, though I am still doing tests to confirm it. Mace (including all hammers; large or otherwise), Axe, Staff, Longbow seem to have very close to the same hide p...

A Thieves Guide to Nork Lairs

The general rule of thumb is if you can hide empty handed then you can hide with a dagger or SS and no problem. If you can hide @ 1 hex with no weapon, you can hide at @ 2 hexes with a staff/axe/mace/ss/dagger/bow. Though when it comes to lairs I definitely would take that with a grain of salt. LS h...

Re: A Thieves Hiding Guide

More will be apended to this as I skill up both my barb in thief and either RR my thief or make a new thief and test with afterward up to skill 9 to 12 depending. Data for testing A) class bonus to hide and B) any bonuses at particular skill levels (which may or may not apply based on class) Note: E...

Re: A Thieves Hiding Guide

I'll eventually get around to testing them then since we don't have penaltys for the other weapons. In the short term until I can get enough data from enough thieves at different skills / agility levels I will make a hiding for dummies guide that just says basically how much skill / agil needed to h...

Re: A Thieves Hiding Guide

Well for the love of mary and all that is holy I just hope not because that is REALLY going to jack up my charts. I am assuming also that BNR doesnt give any hidden +hide aside from the agil boosts. I will go back and find a few different thieves to test the formulas out on at some point.. maybe I w...

Ill give that a shot and get back to you because thats something I do quite often in order to get everything to fit well visually off to the side..
thanks

Edit: Yep dragging too far out of the visible screen was the cause, thanks.

Windows need resetting every login

At random times, sometimes yes sometimes no, but not every 3rd or every other or anything predictable... I have to move my belt, pouch, ground, body..etc etc back for my character when I login. Every character seems to have a random 50-50 chance of needing the windows reset. I also randomly crash, b...

Dedication is class specific. Specialization is weapon specific. Class and weapon do not belong in the same sentence, nor do dedication and specialization. The fact that you dedicated to pally really doesn't mean anything... the bottom line is you specced in LS and wanted Hally, correct? Sorry if th...

Not at all, I like the input actully. The alt indicator would simply be to eliminate any confusion when twigging or TPing back and fourth as some people do tend to mix them up. Some easier than others *G* Well its useful for partys, but extremely useful as a thief as well. If youre trying to use dar...

In theory this would only take less than 15 minutes to code though... o.0. Youd really rather put 15 minutes into an unknown project of possibly mammoth propotion instead of getting a 'new feature' ready to go?

It would be nice if the ground and counter window could be horizontial. Would make fitting everything on my window much easier really and closer to where I would like it....

So what your saying is a +4 probe and a 3/3 ma slith basically are not even really comparable in a normal sense then ... (pardon any pun). The difference between to-hit /evasion (x/x) VS damage absorbption (+x)??
