An after thought as I was hearing someone having issues locate a shield in M3. Perhap detect could cause you to see tied items appear on top of the piles on the ground? *Shrug*

As it is detect its worthless. It shows you characters alignment and fake walls. At that it doesn't even show you all fake walls, Ex: the back enterence to SOB caves west of frore north gate. If you want the player base to increase, I suggest you concentrate on keeping what noobies that do come through or old players that come back and don't remember it well. More indicators / information ... on the main game screen would be nice. Ex. a number showing what alt your in (1 / 2) would be nice. If you have IV on and are standing in a hex with darkness..etc. in case your party hunting and whatnot. Might be nice to see the individual weight of items... noticed...

Since the latest update or two, I have had to reset my macros from scratch. It will do the usual 'You have gained the ability to (ex:)form enmiss! Do you want to add it to a macro?'. It doesnt matter if you say yes or no, it won't add it. Of course you can easily enough just go to Show Macro Groups ...

So the bottom line is MA gaunts make a difference but boots don't play a factor in damage for all practical purposes right now? If its not using the boots is it using anything else like gauntlets for a damaging factor?

As always latly I got tired of reading things on this old Win 98SE, but.. the moral of the story is this. Don't install vista unless you have to. If you do, go google a version of TinyVista instead. And for the love of god turn off User Account Controls (UAC) and Data Execution Protection (DEP) ASAP...

It is a pain, but its fairly unique to this game IMHO and it adds a slight balance to the game. Why would I ever use assault again if I could just pword death everything in sight? ..etc.

I was too tired to read a full page of posts on an old 98SE an an even older monitor, but if you fail to gain HP after 12 months then perhaps instead of gaining HP at that point it could be made easier to re-gain lost HP at that point somehow?

I have toyed with this idea for a long time, but never took the time to learn a programming language in depth enough to do it. I know it wouldn't be hard to create, but I wanted to create one that automatically pulled the information from the game and exacted it to a bitmap file in much the same way...
