Here is a new class suggestion... New class: Changeling . This class allows the player to become a number of different creatures. I think we all intuitively know how this class would be played. Namely, the "form" you take would determine your abilities, would limit your use of weapons and ...

New party skills?
Hail fellow Drakkarians, I would like to suggest something new to partying. Basically, the idea is CLASS-BASED partying. "Mixed Class" parties could receive "special boosts", but it is the "Single Class" parties that I would like to see receive "new abilities"...

Snak, I like the "idea" of what you last suggested. It wouldn't surprise me if Brad is doing something quite similar in the new land. I don't wish to say more on this, since other players should visit and discover the Nameless Land themselves. However, there is a new approach to partying t...

Others say they do NOT have my aging problems, with PsiCrush. Maybe some do? It ages my Healer so fast I cannot use it as my main attack in the dungeons. I have tested it two times now: My Healer goes from "young" to "ancient" in 8 hours. He just sticks to "assault" the...

Brad, A likely fork in the road... If you manage your own web server or not can drastically impact how "fancy or professional" you want the layout and interactions. If you do manage your own web server, then the layout can be exactly like your game interface , which would be easy to develo...

Backstabs
Drakkar, I would like to suggest a new random boost to backstab, starting at skill 26. A message like "You have found a particularly vulnerable spot!" would appear, and if done to a player they would see something like, "You feel an accute pain!". My hope is that it would randoml...

DrDrunk, Me. Until just last week, I didn't play my healer (brought over from IEN). He was 19/16 when I retired him, and was hell to grow to that size on IEN. I am now playing him fulltime and he has been getting 2% skill per hour, by dropping 1 meg on training every hour or two. He is not in GH, bu...

As long as it doesn't cause a problem with the existing skill system, nor take any real time away from other current development, I "third" it.

I don't have a problem with the way lairs are. In fact, I like them exactly as they are. Yes, even though they are camped and I don't have the gear I would like yet. Note, that as long as "access" to lairs is as it is, they will still be camped by the big-boys. Making them eaters (and the ...

Do barbs have a command like "Calm", that allows them to reduce their zerk level? If not, that might be a good addition.
One thing I would enjoy seeing on high level barbs would be a zerked "psi mirror" type reflector.

Yes, I hope drakkar moves in that direction: At lower levels some classes share disciplines, but at higher levels the meaning of the discipline changes.
This would allow twigs and such to remain as they are, but not encroach on things that make a class unique and desirable for player interactions.

Suggestion: Thief version of disc "detect"
Currently a thief's "detect" works like a mentalists. I would like to see it continue to detect secret walls, but at skill 20 only a Thief could visually detect hidable spaces. It doesn't matter to me what image is overlain on the hexes, I just think the class should eventually be able to ...

I like it. Especially, the idea of using the existing Nork history to create new weapons. This could drive a continuing story line, as the developers get time too.
I always like consequences to the "use" of magic. Not always bad ones, just something.

Brad,
I was thinking that since people have exploited things before, that you might place a warning message for when we enter the game.
This will help the rest of us folks know that a rollback is possible before we attempt a long day of game play or going after that special item.
Thanks,
ShaDeth

Knowing when your thief is hidden
Not losing my hide, after a killing backstab, is wonderful!!! I think the following would be of further help: 1) Modify the "dashes" command. "Dashes hidden" would toggle as it currently does but use a different character when hidden. Ex: "------" (not hidden) vs. "...
