You have to admire anyone as injured as he was. That he continued to try to live some sort of meaningful existence when a lot of people would have given up and died says a lot about his character. I don't know if I could continue if I were in his shoes. His life was an inspiration to those with seve...

Once upon a time, in another game which strangely enough used to be called Drakkar, you would never dream of hunting on the same screen as someone else unless you and he were partied. Guilds active taught the players that this was acceptable behavior. Newbies were told not to hunt on a screen that c...

Actually a time out isn't a bad idea. Say if the "time out" period was something on the order of five years or so. :D I'd like to see more strigent enforcement of the rules. But if there is one thing I've learned about drak, there are the rules which are applied uniformly to the general pl...

I'm sure if we put our minds to it there are all sorts of varients of discs that would be useful. Mass Infravision (does the whole party in one shot). Mass fire/ice prots (ditto) But there are a few curious omissions in the disc collection. Healers get a poison and a cure poison, but there is no pro...

Here's a couple items I was taught a long long time ago and they probably need to be brought out an aired in public again. * Unless you're in a party with someone (or someones), do not hunt within visual range of another player. That only confuses the crits and causes them to bounce between you and ...

There was a project to calculate pi out to as many places as possible. But Pi is an endlessly repeating number with no "exact" value.

There has been a recent increase in the number of crits being summoned in the steel flower, noteably dragons, usually when no sysop is present. Over the years I've seen some real screwups. But the one most common of all has to be related to lair hunts. On a recent loriapi hunt, the party arrived at lori in stages. Most of the players were fair sized, levels 20+, some a lot higher. With zero coordination amoung the party members, people rush...

While I like the idea of level requirements, that probably involves a programming change, and since Brad seems reluctant to fix known nork issues, lets not talk him into messing it up any further by changing more code. The issue of buying drak items for real cash was a big problem back in classic. With only one alt, no cob and no aleria, it was nearly impossible to find any lair that wasn't being farmed on a regular basis. It ruined the game for many people. I, for one, would hate to see a return to that situation...
