Re: Possible broken drop rate
Yea well games especially ones you pay for are supposed to be fun and exciting not tedious and boring. Just my 2 cents.

Re: Possible broken drop rate
Ok its been 5 days of extensive hunting in the bog, over 500 swampbat kills no bat wing. Seriously can someone look into this. It seems too much of a coincidence that the rate change occurred exactly after the May 2 changes went in. If this was how you intended it then fine but if not then could it ...

Possible broken drop rate
Could it be possible that when you changed the drop rate, it affected some areas in a negative way? For example, in the bog in nameless I was averaging about 2 bat wings and 1 terror blood in like 4-5 hours. As soon as you announced a drop rate change the place went ice cold for 3 days now. Zero dro...

Re: Proposed Idea, change in death penalty
I don't think item loss serves any purpose. In fact, I think it's made people hoard gear and lairs so they have spares.
I would rather see some other significant penalty (one that affects everyone equally instead of punishing players who have built multiple skills)

It would have been, but you also took out the doppleganger.

Re: Gear questions
My memory is that Ninga padded with Nina blocks better, but Ninga padded with Yeti has better damage absorption. Sometimes it is better to try not be hit at all (e.g. if you would be 1 shotted by 1 big creature). Other times, it might be better to get hit more often but take less damage per hit (lik...

Guys, the old game we loved was special because it was charming and hand crafted. There were things to discover through only exploration - not brute force. Hidden climb ups, special drop off hexes, artifacts, and certain death. Nameless scenario was just chock a block, cut and paste, every dungeon l...

There were wishes in the game. They were handled individually by brad.
However, I remember that they were one of the prizes from gambling with the Frore Fate Cards, rather than rewards for a quest.

Interesting. I randomly poked in here after not visiting since July 2006, and not playing for since probably 2004 or so. As someone who is an "old player", and who still maintains contact with other old players, perhaps you could give us a summary of what's new in the game and what would m...

IOK rocked so hard... until they added the underworld, then it jumped the shark.
I remember switching from IOK to KOD when I learned you could move 4 squares per turn instead of 3. hahaha
Drake hunting with Soyer____Cure was fun... back in the day.

lol I just popped on - people still talk about this stuff? amusing Yes, I got the hammer, drazi got the bow, atom got a ss, ender a shield, navarre an armor, azrael a dagger, and Arkon got a staff if I remember correctly. Items got shared for whatever reasons. I still have the hammer (it's pretty, b...

I think grinding is fun. But grinding in NL is not as fun as grinding in nork and cobrahn was.
Puzzles in nameless aren't complete. There are broken/unimplemented quests.
I just got tired of waiting so I'm playing something else until these things are fixed.

I just think we need to get back to the basics of what makes the game fun. I think Brad has added some stuff to nameless simply because it is fun for him to program - but that doesn't necessarily mean it's fun to play. Shadeth is right about requireing many mouseclicks to move around. It causes carp...

I'm sorry to say I lost pleasure in Drak because NL took soooo long to develop and deploy. If I understand correctly, it's still in "beta." I keep tabs on Drak and would like to return when it looks like content is further along. I'll not play WoW - the graphics look like a bad disney movi...

The best solution (imho) would be to make the actual fighter a viable stand-alone class, and let fighter/ments access abilities from both classes at higher skill/exp levels than single-classed characters. Making the fighting abilities FIGHTER abilities that can be accessed by paladins, rather than P...
