Re: Ideas for new content and expansion of the game.
I've been rallying for preferred and/or hybrid classes for years, with no traction. Glad to hear someone else taking up the banner.

And if you do this "no class restriction" version. Please post something about it in the forums, since I continue to check them and am on facebook.
FYI: This would bring back my two paid accounts. As well as my two gaming friends, that go where I go.
Thanks,
Shadeth

Re: Drakkar is going to die... Suggestions to bring Drak Bac
Here is an idea that might seem absurd but bare with me until the end... (Superclasses) Have another copy of nork (as you did with challange nork) but this time make it so characters have access to all class abilities, by having trainers allow dedications irregardless of existing dedications. Namely...

Re: Why F/M?
I've always been intrigued by the MMO concept of 'each class must be the best at something', in order to be a "good" class. My question is.. is this true? Is there room for a generalist? Or a class that has situational abilities? I'm not pulling either way, i'm just curious ( because the ...

Re: Can anyone contact Seville concerning the Bored website?
Stormwind,
The Bored site has been down for a month and looks like it is gone for good. Is there any chance it can be made into a single MHT file? That way all that information will not be lost for good and still be used by players. You can contact me in mirc or drak lobby.
Thanks,
sha'Deth

Re: Add a KILLER bow in Nameless and further quest in mormar
Volcom, Your point is a good one, "Speaking of bows, where are all the arrows?" , and I have often wondered why special arrows could not be held in the left hand to augment the attack of my bow. Obviously, that would change the way bows currently work in Drakkar, which would mean taking de...

Re: Add a KILLER bow in Nameless and further quest in mormar
Quat, Concerning your question, "Firstly I wonder why you bothered skilling bow when u knew there wasnt a killer" : I skilled the bow before NL existed. Getting to 29th skill took years; it began in Nork when it was the only land, then my skill grew when Aleria was released, and then final...

Add a KILLER bow in Nameless and further quest in mormar
Please make a KILLER bow. I don't care if it is a shortbow, longbow, or crossbow. I just want to be able to use the skill I have built for years in Drakkar and have something comparable to other player's weapons. [NOTE: The brewed bow is not up to the task, even though it takes longer to get the com...

It appears that the new Bored location has been down for a few days. Does this mean the Bored website is an orphan again?
Thanks,
sha'Deth

Can anyone contact Seville concerning the Bored website?
Geocities is closing in October, so the Bored website will be lost. That would be a shame since many people still use it to this day and it has A LOT of information on it. [Note: Archiving it into a ".mht" single file didn't work so Seville needs to be contacted.] I also noticed that the R...

Found the above items on the ground just before the NL reset, so took them to Nork Alt2 portals. If you don't have access to Alt2 then they can be moved to Alt1 for your pickup.

Alt1 isn't working (lobby is having a problem too)
I get a black screen when entering, for the last few hours when I check.
Also the lobby 90% of the time shows I have no characters. So, I log on and get lucky once in 10 tries this evening.

Direction arrow instead of letters?
When crits are off hex we currently have letters (A, B, ...) indicating they are off hex and which are grouped together. I am wondering if it would also be helpful to have arrows replace (or placed under) the letters. This would help in finding where crits have run off to (last seen direction) and w...

For the last six months, I have left my two accounts open (~$35/month). That is until last month. I was giving myself the time to readjust to the NL style. But it has not happened and I have now closed my accounts. I have paid and played Drakkar for eight years. I hope Brad will rethink NL, or offer...

I think the idea that "once a paladin always a paladin" is good. So that if you lose your "g/g" alignment you could still use your armor/weapons/trainers, but you do not get the willpower/focus. Note: Before "Focus" was delivered the player could try out the paladin cla...

Hehe Yeti,
I don't think you meant the equation you typed. Plug in some numbers and you will see what I mean. Your current one would allow 2x XP vs solo, for a big guy with a small guy. I have never seen this.

As I understand the calculation stated by Brad above, upon a crit death ... yourXP = CRITvalueXP * (yourXPlevel / XPofALLpartyMEMBERS) yourSKILL = CRITvalueSKILL * (yourSKILLlevel / SKILLofALLpartyMEMBERS) If these two calculations are seperate, then it seems a fair distribution to me, because if a ...

Ok, maybe I am missing something. Explain this to me... If my 18/16 F/M, solo in 5 mins, is able to kill 10 mobs for 0.3 skill. And then, in the same time period (of 5 mins), partied with my 30/26 Barb they are able to kill 50 mobs. So that the F/M gets 0.5 skill. Then the party system is bugged?

Ztink, Maybe think "time based" instead? In other words, by having your pally partied how much skill gain did your little guy get in a comparable 5 minutes or 30 or 60. I re-test this weekend, in hour increments, and found the skill for my little guy exactly as it has been in the last coup...
