Did you try to solo the lair?
If so, that wasn't the wisest thing to do. Those guys hit pretty good .
When I did that lair, I went with a small party and we did fine. Im sorry your hally was taken by reset .

To me, a zerked barb is completely nuts. If someone swings wildly at something, they don't always hit. It makes sense to me that they should hit hard when they hit, but a zerked barb shouldn't hit every time since they are just swinging wildly at the target.

I read the other message you had written..
I didn't need a test case .
But yes.. tis pointless to argue something like this when we both have no say over the code in the game

I know int64 is a datatype on some compilers.. however, as you stated yourself: Good C++, and other, compilers can globally make all "Integers" and their calculation transparently 64-bit. This will slow down game calculations until Intel releases 64-bit chips, but so what. Of course, all n...

Float is not as slow as you make it out to be :). OpenGL is based largely on float values, and it's not exactly slow :). Anyway, why would Brad ever have to convert a float to an int? Ints are "upcasted" to float when they are added to a float, so no problem there (and it's not exactly a s...

Shadeth, Why would he have to switch to 64 bit ints? The float datatype maxes at 3.4 x 10^38.. thats huge. 3.4 x 10^38 = 340 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 (about.. might have miscounted the zeros.. but it's 34 followed by 37 zeros ;) ). either way, float is still 8 bytes in memory....

Just a few days ago LT gave a slith amber to a 13/10 unmaxed paladin who didn't even know what a slith was.
He's been killing slith every time it spawns so the people who do need it can't get it.
That's just one example :/

hehe.. here's a cruel idea
When you drop your weapon or DP, you *only* see your gear, or gear that is untied.
This definately would make people more careful if their friends couldn't see their dp to retreive it

Yes.
Ironfist drops it some, but gear and agility is usually plenty to compensate.
Jumpstrike drops it even more, and RP even more

This wasn't a post attacking Brad :). This is to discuss lair camping in general. Brad is doing a good job. What Rosey said (about checking the lair every once in a while) is what I was actually shooting for. I agree completely. However, Ive also been told by other players that everyone has a right ...

Lair camping
Open discussion on lair camping. Why is it legal? Should it be legal? Why do you do it? Why don't you do it? I'll start. I believe that every player should have equal opportunity to get a lair if/when it regens. However, camping eliminates that completely. People spend a large portion of their time ...

asking me???
Was a rhetorical question .
Just saying that it doesn't matter if it's out of character. Barbs hate psionics, but still use succor twigs.
Not a stab at you Relic, just an observation

If gear tied to the character instead of the account, it might cut down on some lair camping by some.
ie The character that is getting the gear has to be the one participating in the hunt.. not the one that comes by after the hunt and grabs the gear
