The quick and dirty fix would be to up the damage on the talon talon line that gives additional damage per hit make it self only, and make it bypass mitigation (it may already).In addition, make the zen of attack have 100% uptime and the class may be viable again. Charger, weapons are not currently only dropping in the level 86+ part of sk and you have to search the corpse for them to drop, which can be hard for a barb due to fast rot times.

Weapons do not appear to be dropping in caves or forest. However they are still dropping in the 86+ areas.

Darge, I simply think that a individual solo should have to make use of armor clicks and potions, not someone whom grouped and already receiving a prot for 1700pts. Brad wants to make the game more friendly to fewer accounts, then what you are advocating is not viable.

Not to mention that once someone has ice rings all that danger from ice is moot. Better to reduce the ice and balance the risk with Melee damage and ice. Just tested with my Pally with Ken. At level 88 my pally was taking 2400 without a cutter on and the damage was not reduced below 1970ish no matter how many additional cutters I added. I would say that a level 78 Ment in NL plate with 2 Lani's on and prot ice cast is appropriate gear.
