>> The problem with events are that if you design them for the low lvl players (1-25) then it will be too easy and boring for the higher lvl players.. There are multiple levels to the dungeons. Duh! I guess special events are too difficult to setup to create challenges appropriate to player and dung...

I get them on Silver. I also have UGH on the character. So might be one or the other that triggers it.

Tried out the VT quest shortsword. Hunted Tehru prison until a figurine dropped. Used the figurine to enter the Naga lair below the prison. Killed and tanned the naga. Had a minotaur axe in my locker. Not sure if it was a king mino axe, or if any minotaur axe will do. I traded the tanned naga and ax...

We have been invading this land so long and so hard, we should have taken over the Nameless One fortress by now!

At least give the Homlet vendor a supply of Stans. Then we can drink and dance while not out slaughtering the locals.

Just thinking out loud here.. I might be leaning towards SS because some tests I ran ages ago suggested better hiding than with a mace. Also, critters with SSes seem to hit more often than those with maces. Anyone else notice this? There is an excellent SS and an excellent Mace in NL that one can ge...

Thanks for the feedback. The thief will be mostly grouped, so will have a suitable tank to attract attention. Ability to land a blow (rarely blocked) and cause damage are my main objectives. I was interested in info in terms of killer weapons. For example, SS and Mace both have +10 AGI and STR boost...

Gold Plan but no guild house on my barbarian. At level 19 the display shows 100 of 47 max spent. I have spent 100 qp. I have played for many hours and have not gotten any more qps. Bugged? At max? Can we have some info on the effect of UGH and LGH on max and gains so we can have some clue if the sys...

In Memoriam: Jim Bobrowski/Glyph__KAM

It is with much sadness that I report the passing of Jim Bobrowski after a long battle with cancer. Drakkar players would know him by his level 68 mentalist, Glyph__KAM. A player of 11 years, and one of the original members of KAM, Jim was a quiet and thoughtful person, and a valued presence in guil...

Some additional comments on the latest cleave: From testing the damage appears to be less than hitting on 3 or 4 Fury swings. Factor in the fact that I fury almost all rounds due to quirks, have just as high a chance of Cleave to be armored blocked as any Fury swing, and have to waste two rounds not...

Merkon Combat Amulet Bug

Stepped into the center of the Fire Room on Nork -5. My merkon combat amulet went >poof< and I was teleported to the dragon's lair on that level. It looks like the amulet has some bit set to make it double as the ruby amulet for entering the lair. The dragon did not survive the encounter. Sadly, my ...

Repeatable quests that give experience and/or actual/paid skill as a reward. This is the basis of the wildly popular WoW and I really like the feature. I would argue they made that game a little too easy, but you can tune it to be more Drak-like. I'd like to see these quests go in from level 1 also....

Ah, a finishing move would come in handy for grinding as it would help stop the barbarian from charging after a fleeing mob and into a larger zoo. Another way to look at the data is it took 13 - 19 cleaves to finish off the monster compared to 15-19 args. So a single cleave is doing damage comparabl...

The Enhanced Rage quirk is a significant boost, even for small barbarians. Altho I loved the haste, it probably was a bit over the top. I think they do need a damage boost replacement for it in Mormar though. I would like to suggest a tier that gives a personal boost to armor penetration. Crushing B...

Hasted primal barb + Enhanced Rage quirk outdamages a hasted primal paladin. Both with tricked-out killer hallys.

Add in calm resistance and the class is oodles of fun to play again.

That's how it should be.

NL barbs have been fixed. Good job Brad! Time to move on.

55/30 barbarian I have had a lot of recent opportunity to play and observe primal barbarians, some in their 60s. Talking about Barbarian balance in Nameless Lands by doing tests in Nork is completely and utterly pointless. Any primal class with a killer and/or some tiers has been taking down Nork la...

The ability to haste is great.

I think the level 51 requirement is perfect as it makes it a DL ability, i.e., not available when one can still level in Borderlands and Cob.

Equal level/skill hasted barbarian outdamages my pally. Thats OK. I still have the big armor protection so is a good tradeoff.

Brad - I have been playing with the barb quirk, Enhanced Rage. Because of the large variance in actions that can occur when a barb is ARGing, it is difficult to test it to see if it is doing anything. I need hundreds of rounds if I want to measure a couple of percent change in anything. With 3pts in...

Have you tested the double baskie shield? It would have been nice if it had a different graphic. I look like such a noob when I wield it. Shields test against the skill of the attacker. Since Nork monsters are, more or less, skill capped, a better blocking shield might not be appropriate. Something ...
