Re: Why haven't challenge scenarios been fixed yet?
The really funny thing is after I thought about it, I realized I only care about the "crazy", not "challenge" scenarios and had those mixed up in my head. So there actually hasn't been a post of anyone who cares enough.

Why haven't challenge scenarios been fixed yet?
So I've been logging in from time to time to see if the challenge stuff has been fixed, and something as "simple" as the double NPC's in the GH, and it appears nothing has been fixed. I just cancelled my three accounts, two of which were platinum. This isn't entirely because of the above i...

Playing on my Nexus 10 a bit. Works fairly well. The trainer screen is all jumbled though with many of the skills not showing up.

Didn't read the whole thread, but your f/m may be "bugged"... I had a character that no matter what I did I gained .03 as a max skill/swing. Didn't matter where I was or what I swung at... and this was at very low level skill.

Much better than charming were the days you could drink a levi potion in cob, portal back to nork and have perma "flying" abilities. Maybe it was a scroll. I forget.
Back on classic the area around cg etc was explored pretty extensively with this bug.

You'd be locked or banned for life in this version of drakkar for doing that.

Yeah, the open source effort hasn't gone very far is my understanding. They tried to port some of it to the neverwinter nights engine with some success I believe. Kenny was an amazing player. I think the most impressive IoK video EVER is when he walked in on Ydmos. Scythe versus Scythe. The video la...

Isn't a "drakkar" a viking style ship and as a generic name non trademarkable? I'm sure "Kingdom of Drakkar" can be trade marked, but drakkar by itself?

I remember Morpheus, Sevarian, Sentinel, and ShaiHulud as the legendary drake hunters of my early time. But I may have been a bit late to the show. I missed the first major DP Xerox by about two weeks to date my IoK time.

I remember running into him many a day at good ole +Ydmos.

One other thing .... I think Drakkar/Brad should strive to always make the game appear open-ended. What I mean by this is that no one should EVER be able to attain the highest level in the game. That way the "die-hards" are always rewarded. I remember IoK and Classic when there was no cap ...

True Rav, but I think Brad would like to see his creation grow and not continue to stagnate as it has for all of these years. To do that you must have an even playing field. New customers wouldn't be so apt to start a game where they knew the cards were stacked against them in some respects from the...

As a fellow old-timer: I will humbly diagree with Ender. There should be no special rewards. The, shall we say, more successful MMORPG's have a zero tolerance policy for bug abuse and for the most part it has worked quite well. That's what Drakkar needs. If any reward is to be put in place it should...

I really miss player-designed guild-halls and perma hexes. That and holes mighta been the kewlest things ever in the game.

It's quite all right with me for you to stay as long as you like. However you will be judged by the sum of your interactions, both in the game and on the forums. I have created my opinion of you based almost entirely on what you have posted. I for one don't like how Drakkar has become the cry-to-sys...

My point is you play a game where dragons try to eat you, nearly everywhere you go npc's try to kill you, but OMG if it's a human instead of a dated AI on the other side of that threat then all bets are off. Please SYSOP protect me, protect me. I've noticed you complain about thieves, etiquette, and...

Fate Water used to go to 25's ...haven't tested in a long time because after one of the big run ups of fate water use etc I think the alg was changed again to make it even more difficult to raise the stats. Also, water only works at a certain XP level. Might be 15 or 16. Otherwise you can get most s...

There's nothing wrong with being generous with gear to someone who needs it. The game is already inflated by old nork standards and I'd argue that giving nearly <nearly> any piece of nork gear to a newbie would not unbalance what is already unbalanced. True they will not know the trial and tribulati...

Terrel is correct. However, I think ELANCE with the readily availability of zaps closes that gap. Often times RPG's allow for a wizard type class to do incredible damage with some sort of high cost to them as well. I think elance fits that bill nicely although it could use a little more tweeking too.
