Nork level requirements need a workover
With the addition of cob items being usable in nork at level 20, it really doesn't make any sense to have items with a level req of 18. No one is going to level 18-20 in nork. After hitting 18, players will jump to 20 in cob and it makes all the nork gear obsolete. As far as free accounts are concer...

Re: In-Game Macros, Hotkeys and Keyboard commands
* commands can only be used by themselves. That's not accurate. You can string zero time system (aka *) commands together using the carriage return. So rather than belt right;get bottle from sack;drink bottle (Leaves an empty bottle) drop bottle; draw [weapon name] You can use *RTB^D*DRINK^D*BTR to...

Re: Pouch and Sack space.
This would be an awesome idea. Make items stack in sack like they do in the ground window. This would also do a lot for the high end solo-ability of non-barb classes that rely on IH. It would be nice to be able to carry several stacks and survive areas where you have to drink often long enough to be...

Re: Proposed Idea, change in death penalty
The hex you drop your gear on is essentially your "corpse" if you look at it from an EQ perspective. I think that current players would trade for an exp/skill loss upon death because, frankly, they can spare it. In my opinion, as a new player, I would prefer losing my gear because, especia...

Re: An appeal to Brad and sysops
Is this a petition to allow cheating?
I think the sysops do a fine job.
If you have to question whether it's a bug or feature, you should ask.
In the above case, I'm sure Mars would gladly tell you one way or the other.

..and not just a linear scale down of hp/exp.
The damage output needs to drop a bit also. They don't hit hard, which is fine, but they hit far too often. You get 1-rounded with an auto-hit gib when you get more than 2-3 mobs.

Re: NL Cost vs use. lvl 50? rethink that maybe
I know my posts are long and I tend to babble, but no one has asked that the exp per kill in Mormar remain the same if it were to become a solo area. I, along with others, have even stated that any type of solo dungeon should take longer to level than in a party. We just want to have the option to d...

Re: NL Cost vs use. lvl 50? rethink that maybe
If mormar access is granted to pre 50's then the experience gained should match that of a cobrahn, similar to the exp cap imposed on pre 25's in mormar (when they could get in). That's kinda what we're saying. You complain about the grind in cob and other areas, but want to spend more than 25 lvls ...

Re: NL Cost vs use. lvl 50? rethink that maybe
@Cobra and Merlin The original point of this thread (I think) is that the level 50 cap on Mormar is too high. While trying to be critics of the ideas suggested to improve Mormar, you've only both confirmed that however hard it may have been at the time (and the mad skillz you both have), you at leas...

Re: NL Cost vs use. lvl 50? rethink that maybe
I think that works ok for some classes, Cobra, but not for many. They lack either the offensive punch to kill a single mob in less than 30 minutes (ok..I may be exaggerating), or they lack the heals that a barb gets from leech. A solo MA will get torn up; a solo healer simply can't kill anything th...

Re: NL Cost vs use. lvl 50? rethink that maybe
my barb Exactly. FYI: You aren't putting the current game into perspective, you're trying to revive the old game's perspective. It's not 1990 anymore. Should I level to 50 in KM5 or Cob because others did, when those were the only options at the time? Sure it's doable, but it takes forever, and I d...

Re: NL Cost vs use. lvl 50? rethink that maybe
I don't think it's about leeching, rather than leech in Mormar, people will now just leech in Dornar, UD5, Arun, Ancients, etc. Players will always leech because it's faster than solo grinding. This game is a grind and if you want to avoid leeching, make some areas viable for solo grinding like thos...

Well GDH was supposed to be level 40+ but since no one helps there no one explores it that is why you have crazy cob. And as far as I am concerned your comments are just wacked so you think its bull. Yeah sure it is crazy cob is just alt2 nork. Crazy aleria is better skill BUT NONE can play there u...

Re: Returning Players Sounds Off!
OT, but...
Sage was a merger of the top guilds at the time EDGE, RAGE, RIP I know of for sure. ASH, KAM, STORM? Not sure, but it was several guilds.
I think it was Extreme's idea, but it soon dissolved (lasted a month maybe?) and all players reverted to their former guilds.
This was summer 2002.

Re: Petition!
Cob/alt1/etc just feels slow. The current round timers worked great on a packard bell and a 4 bps modem in the 90's. I would for sure repay an account if we had not so much the double skill/exp but just a faster paced cob. As far as the crazy cob, doing this on a semi-regular basis would be very att...

What are your quirks like? I think you'll find the battlemage quirks will allow you to go further than some purely stick classes.
