Re: Top 10 Random Loot Drops You'd like to see
How about a helm that boosts the damage that Psionic Damage attacks deal? If I may suggest a graphic to use if you don't have an unused graphic in mind, could it look like either the Power Helm from Nork or the Evil Helm from Aleria? http://i.imgur.com/FBGTn4H.png Brad has enough unused assets like...

Previous level/skill flagging stairs before 88 include the sk entrance and the stairs up to sk barracks, l3.

The Healer quirk Spontaneous Combustion no longer gives Healers any effect, with the change to Firestorm damage on their tiers. Can you switch the quirk over to affect firestorm too now?

Re: 020 - All NL ( 11am eastern )
Brad, have you considered expanding the Kelvinic tiers any? Maybe we can get a Kelvinic Wall, maybe a Kelvinic Rug that really ties the whole room together? So that exp nerf... Caves looks mostly untouched in terms of exp changes, other than mineguards giving a bit less. My best guess is that you us...

Re: 019 - On NL TEST
Note that skill bonuses, quirks, party leadership, inflation rings, and totems all together boost razor hail ice damage way above the base amount, and above the amount of damage Rain of Stone does. The number of things that boost EC damage is 0. Also, 20/20 allied aversion just needs to work every t...

Re: 018 - All NL
A tier usable once or twice an hour isn't acceptable, regardless of the effect. Moreover, none of these lvl 89 tiers are acceptable. It's like you're determining effects, round durations and recasts with a dart board. They're all pretty unanimously terrible, except maybe the thief tier, and even the...

I couldn't replicate it. Hundreds of hastes from sk 42 fm in nl2 and nork on a lvl 1 and lvl 70, zero metabolic stresses.
Good amount of aging on the target of the haste, as expected, but that's it.

You realize Brad probably meant that they wouldn't be getting weapons itemized for them, right?
The only existing mechanic for restricting drops based on the person killing that has been used is whether or not they have a particular flagging (nl duke quests).

Re: NLTEST back on test - New Experiment : Duration
By the way, Primal Mending's recast got quadrupled, even though it's not a buff. Probably because it's marked beneficial. Really detrimental, so that one's going to have have a special case coded in, probably.

Re: NLTEST back on test - New Experiment : Duration
All of the single target tiers that people hate having to keep recasting in the fast rounds have a base recast of 5 rounds and last 50 rounds. Pally shields/barriers, fm accuracy, MA damage buff. The only classes that have aoe tier buffs equal to or less than 5 round recast are healer buffs and thie...

Re: NLTEST back on test - New Experiment : Duration
What about just using the tier buff recast as a check? If the recast is less than or equal to 5, then duration and recast quadruple, if not they remain the same.
I *think* this covers things pretty well.

Re: NLTEST back on test - New Experiment : Duration
The duration/recast ratios have been restored, but ratios aren't everything, because some effects just work better the more often they can be used, regardless of the ratio being the same. Time under effect may be the same, but round to round is the important part. Consider the following tiers being g...

Re: NLTEST back on test - New Experiment : Duration
This is broken. F/M: Akronium Shield is up for 80 rounds with a 100 round recast when you have haste. 600+ ES shield always up basically. Divergent essence gets 40 round duration, 20 recast even without haste. Always up now, versus the 50% uptime before. Psionic Diversion overwrites sk35+ self cast ...

Re: NL-TEST with level appropriate characters
If anything, nerf clerics. It's clearly the intended solo spot, with lower exp, lower hp, lesser coin drops and lower crit density. Making it a twig in/out zone and reducing clerics earth crush damage would be a good start.

Re: NL-TEST with level appropriate characters
Actually, my original post on this area said that the to hit was to low and character ac was trivializing the content, so yes I have posted exactly that. Their to hit was flat broken and they couldn't hit entry level players in generic gear after the initial nerf. Which has nothing to do with my st...

Re: NL-TEST with level appropriate characters
Those potions are the loot, you sell them, that's what they are good for. The vendor sells the minor version of prot pots for fire, ice, and lightning and then the major versions drop which is what I've been talking about. If the major version of the pots had the sole purpose of being sold, Brad wo...

Re: NL-TEST with level appropriate characters
And you really think one serpent should doover 2k damage through all of that prot unless you use a potion? Yes. It's almost like those potions serve exactly zero purpose except for that one particular area. Also, I'm not sure if people even know this, but you can right click betrayer scales and get...

I remember 7 or so years ago when GDH came out. It was a buggy, broken mess. We, the privileged few who paid 7.50 extra a month for ugh, got to playtest it for you, Brad. Sometimes months would go by without new content, such as when we got to Medusa on the second day and found that the item to acti...

Re: NL-TEST with level appropriate characters
Keep in mind that the light ice prot pots sold by sdc vendors give 1k ice prot, and the heavy prot pots that drop in ice floes give 2k ice prot too. May even actually be double those values, since I'm pretty sure prot vs tiers is halved and that's how I tested. Though their duration could stand to b...

Re: NL-TEST with level appropriate characters
It's in a good spot, imo. Challenging enough that you won't mass drag zoos anymore until you at least have ice ablation rings on your squishier characters, but not so much that groups coming in can't hunt there at all. The crits also add a touch of difficulty to ice Titan. The only thing I'd do furt...

One other thing: while clerics looks decent for solo play, they still do shatter bottles in sack, which obviously hurts solo play for most classes badly.

Re: NL-TEST with level appropriate characters
It's difficult to say without knowing your intent for the area, but here's how things look. Ice rats swing once a round, deal about 300 dmg per melee hit, and poison on hit. They also have stun on their hits, but with Ningi helm on, you resist all stuns when they do connect anyway. They don't appear...

Re: NL-TEST with level appropriate characters
Group play in ice Titan area felt ridiculously easy. We even brought in a lvl 40ish and lvl 50ish pair of crits and they had no trouble staying alive in zoos with other crits in the 80's and our one healer barely paying attention. The npcs don't hit hard, their ice breath is weak, and their accuracy...
