Actually, yes. My bad. Players refer to the island to the East as Tehruh because of a scroll that has been... misinterpreted.Darge wrote:Tehruh is, as I understand it, actually the name of the planet Drakkar is on.

Re: Wondering about Kaxx
Hello there, it has been a few years since ive popped into the game, but if memory serves, he is a bit tougher than a baskie. You will need to be a certain lvl to even see him reliably(18+?). He doesn't hit too hard for that level, grab some friends, kill him, and take the middle portal! (Don't do ...

Wondering about Kaxx
I have searched a number of places for information, and I've yet to find any, so here it is: How hard is it to kill Kaxx? What lair crit in Nork would you compare him with?
For example, would someone able to kill a baskie (...usually) be able to take him on?

Did you know... It used to be standard proceedure to outfit new players with a large yeti, rak robe, kitty, RD gaunts and ammy? Steel Flower used to be the gathering place for players? Skilling used to be done on certain lair crits, and you used to be able to click the ads for extra skill gain? The ...

Re: 200+
I think an important part of the success of any MMO is how newbie-friendly it is. Fixing content that takes months to get to won't help if those people get disillusioned in those months. Yes, it is helpful for retaining and bringing back old players, but it is more important that the MMO be newbie f...

Roleplaying?
So, this topic has been brought up from time to time, maybe not on these forums, but I know I've brought it up in chat: What about roleplaying? A lot of MMORPGs don't have a lot of roleplayers playing, but in Drakkar, they are nearly non-existant. I was wondering what you guys think would help peopl...

1. Advertising - For srsly . Word of mouth can only bring you so far. Perhaps banner exchange programs would help? 2. Newbie gear - Currently, newbies in Drakkar are set up with a set of "newbie gear." I'd advise to have some way for them to get some similar gear (not as good, maybe) thems...

What's the best paladin weapon out there?
What about a barb weapon?
How do you F/M's feel about the fact that I haven't said anything about your weapons?

The Weapons and Armor of the Knight
I thought it might be nice to include information about the weapons a paladin can use. I can only write for a few weapon types, and then only for Nork ones. If anyone would like to add to this (for maces, Cob weapons, NL weapons, and the like), I would appreciate it. Also, examples of what a paladin...

Re: Incentives for helping newbies
Yes, I've done that, too. But for a new player, that can be more of an annoyance. It's also a lot easier to die when you're new, hence the armor and shield given to new players, and the weapon as well. Newbie being, of course, a new player on their first character (or perhaps second). Say, someone w...

The story of JIHAD?
I remember there was a guild that claimed that, during their first hunt of SoB, they were all exhausted and nearly dead, and then one of their paladins spit in the SoB's eye, which killed it.
I am told that JIHAD told this tale. Can anyone confirm/link/have the tale written down somewhere?

Incentives for helping newbies
So... I was thinking, as I sat in DZ and talked about getting armor at low levels, that people seem less willing to help out newbies with newbie gear, despite the fact that this has become even EASIER from when I played. I was thinking that maybe there could be incentives to helping out newbies with...

I'm coming back to my first graphical ORPG... again. I would like to see more advertising of Drakkar, maybe. Maybe the players could get together and fund something of the sort... Or one of those places that place your ad in a banner that's randomly yours or someone else's based on viewcount of your...

Re: Guild Halls
Pally and Barb trainers. As far as a guilded guild hall, I'd like to see an upgradeable guildhall that starts out really basic. It can be upgraded with (choose one or more: gold, exp, DrakCoins [see other topic], skill) donated by members to the guild fund. Some upgrades require others. As with the ...

Can I make a suggestion? Well, I am before any of you can answer, so boo-ya. Anywho. Luxun is a pally. A halberd user. He will never be able to hit Chipuda or the Snowbeast with his hally. Could it maybe be possible to add silver, glowing, or the pweapon tag to a weapon using drak coins? Maybe some ...

Shield required level
So, I have an improved baskie shield on my barb, as well as an improved griffy LS. I have noticed that I am level 11, whereas the required level for the shield is 12. I have also noticed that the shield still blocks. I also fumble quite a bit more than I think I probably should. Is the fumbling a re...

I know this is an old topic, but I want to add in my 2 cents. I feel that Hallies are common enough choices that there should be a phally. Maybe make it hit for less than FG, or something. Make FG the choice for standard hunting, but don't leave the hally users (which are quite a lot) without a pwea...

Ztinktoof was always one of my favorite pallies (how do you young'uns say it? Oh, right) up in hea.
Nice fellow, too. Helped me get my FP, and by help, I mean he and others did pretty much everything while I did about 10 points of damage to the levi.

He teaches you some stuff about combat or something. It would make more sense for someone in GH to know a lot about combat and be able to teach you some stuff (IE, goblinoids never strike thusly...) than some random quest NPC like that one ring guy. Or Annalie or whatever.
